Toney McNeil
Coach Toney (George) McNeil played varsity basketball at Humber College. He was the first player in the schools history to have his Jersey #44 retired. An OCAA All Canadian & All-star. Inducted into the OCAA hall of Fame. Assistant Coach for 4 years at Humber College, 3 years at Seneca College. He is a very accomplish coach at the Rep level with many gold, silver and bronze finishes. His teams have finished in the top five in the Province each year. 2009 Major Atom Girls Provincial Champions (undefeated season), 2010 Major Midget Boys (grade 10) Provincial Champions, 2010 AAU Grand Nationals (Indian) 13U Champions, 2010 Bantam Girls Eastern Canadian Champions.
Pat Traynor
Coach Pat attended college in Colorado as an NAIA scholarship athlete in middle distance running. He has led Venom teams to Gold, Silver and Bronze finishes at the Provincial Championships, and won the Eastern Canadian Championship with his 1995 born girls. He has participated as a guest instructor in the Nike National Skills Academy in Philadelphia, Indianapolis and Dallas. Coach Pat is our elite JUEL Girls team head coach and is completing work on his Level 3 coaching certification. He is the first Canadian coach to complete the Ganon Baker Coaching Certification program. A program for coaches interested in developing the essential skills players need from a strictly skill development approach to the game. Coach Pat is NCAA certified.
Angel Roque
Coach Angel played Division I basketball at Cleveland State University. As a four-year letter winner, Angel helped to establish a winning tradition at CSU. In her sophomore year, Angel was named co-captain and led her team to their first Horizon League Tournament Championship and first NCAA Tournament appearance in school history. As a senior, Angel and the Vikings claimed another Horizon League Championship for the second time in three seasons and another NCAA Tournament appearance. A strong believer in hard work paying off, Angel helped her team succeed with her exceptional court vision and tenacious on-ball defense. With a major in Chemistry and a minor in Biology, Angel is currently pursuing a professional degree in Pharmacy. She has her Level 1 NCCP certification and is also NCAA certified. Coach Angel assists with the Women’s CP development programs and has completed the Ganon Baker Coaching Certification Program.
Tina DeCarvalho
Coach Tina De Carvalho played Division I basketball at Charleston Southern University in South Carolina. During her four seasons she was named to the Big South All Academic Team twice and selected as the NSCA All-American in her final year. As Senior Captain, Tina contributed to a record-breaking season: most wins ever in Conference play, and most three’s ever scored against UNC in the programs history (17). She has a Kinesiology and Education degree, and is currently working on her Level 2 NCCP. Tina is an OBA and JUEL coach, and is involved with the CP Development programs. She has completed the Ganon Baker Coaching Certification program. Tina is NCAA certified.
Laura Lennon (nee MacCallum)
As a former OUA player with the York University Lions, Laura was named CIS Rookie of the Year and was a member of the CIS 1st Team All Star for 3 years. Along with 18 years of playing experience, Laura has a coaching certificate from York University and is currently working on her Level 3 NCCP. Coach Lennon is also a member of the York University women’s coaching staff and an Oakville JUEL coach.
Mike Kennedy
Mike Kennedy will be involved in the Post Development aspect of our programs. Mike has played NCAA as well as professional basketball. A veteran skill development trainer, president of his own company the International Big Man. Mike brings to the program the tools to bring our post players to the next level.
